Fabric Covered Lampshade

I just found this 'How-To' on the HGTV website.  I don't know why I didn't think of this before.  Our living room lampshade  got crushed during the move & I've yet to find a suitable replacement.  Now I'm sure I'll be able to make it just how I want it.

This one is $8.98/yd.  I don't know if I want pink in the room or not though.  But I like the pattern.

I think this is the one.  $6.98/yd.

Of course, I love these too, but not for a lampshade.  Maybe for a throw pillow?  Too bad I can't sew.

This might be nice, but I'm unsure if it would go with the curtains since they are also vertical stripes, but additional colors.

I found this picture of a beautiful bedroom.  It doesn't fit in my house, but I just liked it so much, I wanted to share.

What a beautiful bathroom!  I can just picture this bathroom off the room in the picture above.  I especially love the color, the tiles & the shower doors.  The color is Dunn Edwards' Persimmon.

I just love this little corner couch... okay, there's a lot of things in this picture I like, but the couch is my favorite.  I can just imagine sitting with a friend, drinking coffee, taking in that beautiful view.  Or maybe curled up, reading a good book.  It looks so inviting.  The roman shades are nice.  I love the ottoman & side table & the little plant & the rug.  I'm not a fan of that light fixture though.  I think a distressed white lantern would have been better.

Ignore the picture on the right.  It's the one on the left that got me.  Heaven!

This is a basement!  Could have fooled me.  I love the color combo.

I love this shade of blue with those black & white photos.  It's called Needlepoint Navy by SW.  Beautiful!

Look at the spot for the dog bowls & the bone shaped pulls!  I love it.

How cool is this?  The two canvases slide back & forth on a track to conceal the TV.

This is just so cool.

I love the brown leather chairs & the curtains here. They would look great on our slider.



What a gorgeous room... I don't think it would work in our space though.  I really like the capiz chandelier.

Look at this chandelier!  Wow!!  I love it!  I also love that mirror on the wall.  We have those seashell balls that are on the table.  They were our centerpieces at our wedding.  I've been trying to figure out how to incorporate them into our decor better.  This picture helps.



This is our new dining table.  The picture is kind of lousy.  If I can find a better one, I'll replace this.  But, in the meantime, it's a glass top table.  The center pedestal has a wine rack & a cabinet for storing different things.  Matt picked this out all by himself & I love it!

Living Room Inspiraton

This is the idea that I'm going for in the living room. Our couch is cream & the chairs are green.

This room is really nice too.  Love that rug.

These are from Pottery Barn.  I don't know if they'd match the recliners, but I love them.

I like these too, but I don't know if they'll match... probably not.  These are from JCP.

This picture would look really nice over the fireplace.  I could probably DIY too.  It's just a bunch of circles in all the right colors.

I really like this picture.  It would look great against one of the green walls in the living room.  The pillows on the bed are cool too.

If those throw pillows were in green, they'd be perfect.  Sigh.  Nice room though.

I love this picture above the bed (& the comforter too).  It would look great over our fireplace.

I love this living room.  It looks so welcoming & relaxing.  The pictures over the couch are nice.  The coffee table is nice too (although I think that giant vase might be too big). 

I just bought a starfish like the one on top of the books, except mine is green.
