This past spring, we had A LOT of flooding in our area. Our unit had a very tiny puddle in the corner that was mop-able. Some of the other units in the complex had much more water in their basements. So the association decided to gut & redo everyone's basement at no cost to the homeowner. Yippie! They are replacing the walls, carpet, ceiling, electrical, windows and doors. Currently, they're still working on the basement but it looks great so far. They still have to replace the carpet, finish the ceiling and some of the electrical is still unfinished.
The doors have all been replaced & everything has been painted white.
Those are our ceiling tiles in the box.
I love all the light that comes in. The slider & window makes such a difference.

Back Deck-BEFORE
This is what the back deck looked like on Closing Day.
Notice the big hole is the slider screen, that's from her dog.
The previous owner was so kind to leave us her plant (it's clover). We'll have to do something about the privacy fence too.

Dining Room- BEFORE
This picture is from the MLS listing. This is the previous owner's decor. Again, Not My Style.
This is what it looked like on closing day.
Here's a close up of how the seller left the chandelier.

Dining Room Inspiration
What a gorgeous room... I don't think it would work in our space though. I really like the capiz chandelier.
Look at this chandelier! Wow!! I love it! I also love that mirror on the wall. We have those seashell balls that are on the table. They were our centerpieces at our wedding. I've been trying to figure out how to incorporate them into our decor better. This picture helps.
This is our new dining table. The picture is kind of lousy. If I can find a better one, I'll replace this. But, in the meantime, it's a glass top table. The center pedestal has a wine rack & a cabinet for storing different things. Matt picked this out all by himself & I love it! |
